Deadly Whisper is an extremely interesting paranormal romance. It has a well developed plot, which is resolved excellently. The only problem with the plot is it did feel a bit rushed at times, but this isn't that unexpected for novellas and the way the plot hooks readers in makes up for this minor problem anyway.
However the characters and their relationships weren't developed as well as the plot was. In fact the relationship between the main characters felt a bit flat and their feelings to each other changed way too fast, making it feel unrealistic. The best characters in books are the ones that feel almost real, and after the reading the novel you feel like you know them and this didn't really happen in Deadly Whisper. Maybe if it had been a bit longer, there would have been more time to get to know the characters, and maybe a better chance to connect to them.
Despite the problems with the characters and their relationship, Deadly Whisper is still a great book, which paranormal romance fans should enjoy. In fact it is clear from the reading this book, that the Watchers series should be a great new paranormal series.
