Summary-
Born of a Navajo healer and a high-level prince of Hell, The Dine Gods demanded Fatal be turned over to her mother's tribe to learn their healing arts and kept away from demon hands. But with her tutelage came cruel segregation and disrespect because of her father's heritage. Not knowing why her life has suddenly come under demon attack, Fatal sets out, armed with her knowledge and her fighting skills, to take out any evil that gets in her way.
As prince of a lower level of Hell, Orobus signed a contract in blood that he be betrothed to Fatal, the high prince of Hell’s half-breed daughter. Oracle by birth, he isn’t privy to complete visions with regard to himself. Having forgotten the fateful night he signed the agreement, he’s thrust into the fight of his life—the fight to claim his woman! Come Hell or high water, he will take care of what is rightfully his, even if it means making her face both sides of her heritage and teaching her there is no shame.(Goodreads)
Review-
"Demonic Persuasion" by Mahalia Levey is a magnificent display of demonic decadence, full of sizzling sex and politically mystery.
Wow! Ms. Levy packs a punch with her fast paced erotically charged novel of a half-blood demoness' search to be loved and belong somewhere in the universe. This novel really embraces the pain and suffering along with the joys of the demonic realm. While a portion of the story takes place in the mortal realm on Earth, it is the events that occur in the demon realm that really presents a full bodied demonic tale to the reader. Ms. Levy has done an exceptional job of crafting an engagingly delicious story.
Fatal a.k.a. Ackchetta has lived a solitary existence within her own Navajo community; ostracized and shun by those from her own family, her life is a struggle to survive in a relatively lonely existence. That is until her father summons her to return home to the demonic plain. Fatal really suffers from acute abandonment issues, something that has been foster by deceit and betrayal. A reader will sympathize with her need to have control in her life and to distrust those whom appear to have her best interest at heart. I just love her kick ass attitude and her sexual proclivities. The sports sex bar scene really rocks.
Tall, dark and sinfully handsome and not all that he appears to be is the best way to describe Orobus, a prince of a lower level of hell. Orobus is the kind of bad boy, bad ass that every woman salivates over, even Fatal takes a second look. His fierceness is belied by his seemingly calm demure, but I just loved when he completely looses it; awesome displays of demonic rage. Orobus is many things in his guise, but what is clear is his need to protect and nurture Fatal; in endeavoring to show her that demons are not much different than humans, Ms. Levey shines in storytelling.
Fatal and Orobus’ demonic sexual escapades are totally hot and brutally intense; every action and reaction during their time together further emphasizes that the two are demonic by nature and that their sexual exploits mirror the level of their desire because of their nature.
The novel does a good job of spinning a tale of deception and betrayal, proving a reader a glimpse into the demonic realm of Azazel, Lord of the Underworld and its political power plays. I really enjoyed every aspect of "Demonic persuasion" and highly recommend it. I hope a sequel is I the works.
